A Belle Époque opal and diamond brooch c.1905. The delicate bar brooch/pendant is set to the centre with a diamond set ribbon bow, suspending old brilliant cut diamonds to the lower bow from which the white opal is set within eight claws. The opal of light body colour shows a delightful play-of-colour. The pendant brooch is 5.5cm in length, the opal itself measures approximately 3cm.
